14 June (Tuesday)

Richie is in the States this week. He left yesterday morning and will be back Friday morning. I was able to run (jog really) on Monday before he left. I'm totally diggin' my new Garmin GPS. It tells me how far I've run, time, and I can do laps for every mile to get an average time. I ran three miles and felt good. It was hard because about the first mile it was all uphill. Richie recommended the area that I jogged to and that was too much for me.

We asked the boys last week if they wanted to go to the American school next year or the German school and Elee quickly said, "American school, American school". Then Josiah said said, "which one's cheaper"? We laughed so hard. We told him they were both free. Then he said, "well, then I want to go to the American school to protect my brother". Yeah, I had a little tear-age in my eyes, and Josiah thought he was so cool and funny to get my eyes to well up.

So we are 95% sure on sending them to the American schools for next year. With moving in a couple years, we feel they'll just forget German anyways after they are in the States for a while. I think with them in the American schools it will give them a sense of security, especially Elee starting in the first grade. I'm glad they were part of this decision. And I think next year, Josiah will be able to focus on just his studies, instead of focusing on German. So, we still have to register them, but I know Richie is really for this decision so I want to back him up on it. Even though I'm leaning to send them to the German school.

Luna and I did a 'photo shoot' today. I put light purple eye shadow on her and some light lipstick and she put on a tutu and these cute pants we got her in Israel. She loved modeling them and taking pictures. She is really a princess.

Elee is working on a book with letters and when he is done I told him I'd buy him a new movie. I like working with him because I've been seeing improvement. However, it's really hard to get him motivated to do school work. He really has a difficult time doing it. But, I feel optimistic about him....and I'm excited for the opportunity to invest time into him.

Pace took a huge fall today. He fell off the picnic table outside when Luna grabbed a toy from him. He hit the tile floor and has a huge bruise down the side of his face. OUCH!!!! Poor baby. He is so tough though.

Here are the pictures from the photo shoot!
